Steel Mesh Rail

Caliper Studio fabricated and installed a stair and guardrail for a Chelsea Arts Studio by Thomas Phifer and Pertners. The guardrails are made of 5/8″x1 1/2″ STL bar frames with 1/8″ diameter 2″ square mesh. Project is notable for long spans in the top chord of the guardrail panels. To meet code requirments custom bar stock was cut from 55ksi steel plate. All handrail surfaces have hand applied random orbital finish with oil and waxed treatment.
